Hello and welcome back to Faith Matters. Time continues to fly by, tomorrow is the big day that I get to pick up the CD’s for my wife’s new album. This weekend she will be performing at the fair in Charleston so she has been in preparation mode all week. God is good and if you haven’t felt that way lately please stop and ask yourself if you are doing everything within your power to give God your best.
Let’s go ahead and open up in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this blessed day. I am excited because I have been filled up with the Holy Spirit. Lord let my words mean something to the hearts of those who are listening. Lord let me be that light that draws them unto You. In Your name I pray, Amen.
Who are you? No no no, who are you really? You see who we think we are isn’t always how we are living our life. I met someone tonight, he came out to our youth group, he was quiet, just sat in the chair and watched everyone walking by. He was early, the service hasn’t started yet, but my eyes were drawn to him. Sure I knew this was his first time but more importantly I could tell that he felt uncomfortable and probably didn’t know anyone.
He looked over at me and decided to stand up and walk towards me. We exchanged a couple of words, I asked him what school he went to. He asked me how old I was and it made me laugh. I told him if I looked young enough for him to ask me that then I am doing a good job. I gave him my age and I am sure he was shocked. I told him don’t worry the service will get started in about 7 more minutes.
The service for the youth kicked off with a bang like it always does, people were singing and worshipping The Lord. I witnessed him get up from his chair and walk to the front and raise up his hands. Let me tell you this, when God is moving there is NOTHING that can stand in His way. Pastor Dan gave his sermon tonight and talked about our dreams and are we trying to live out our dreams or receive the dreams that God wants to do in and through us. Pastor Dan asked if anyone in the audience didn’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This young man raised his hand along with three other teens and invited Jesus into his life.Top of Form
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I watched him yet again rise up from his seat and go to the front to lift his hands and singing praises to The Lord. This melted my heart; this is what it is all about. The person that has never heard about Jesus coming into a building we call Church and finding Jesus who changes his life from the inside.
Luke 15:3-7 So he told them this parable: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
I say all of this to quite simple say that Jesus loves each and every one of us. There is not one lost sheep that He wouldn’t stop what He is doing to go search for. Jesus is searching for you regardless if you want to believe it or not. Your heart is longing for the love of Christ but your mind keeps trying to push Jesus away. The flesh doesn’t want to be under control, it wants to be wild and satisfy all of its desires. Don’t let any sin keep you from the glory of God.
Let’s close out in prayer. Lord I thank you for the ability to be a part of such a beautiful sight of sinning a lost person find his way back to you. Lord let us never take the glory but instead always give it back to You. For it is because of You that this young man came in tonight in search of something more. Thank you for blessing us to reach out and be the light to the lost. Continue to use us to reach many more, in Your name I pray, Amen.
I want to thank you for taking the time to listen today. If you would like to reach out to me you can do so on Twitter @KNGMusic or via our website http://www.KNGMusicMinistry.com We would love to hear from you. It is because of your constant feedback and love that helps keep us motivated and moving forward with our ministry. Let not one soul be lost because we didn’t feel like it or we didn’t have time. I asked God to change me, I asked God to use me, I asked God to show me more, I asked God to give me a purpose in life. God answered, God changed my life, not the way I wanted but the way He had to. I didn’t realize how far off my Christian walk was until God started rearranging my entire life. You can read your Bible, attend Church, and yet be a dead Christian. That was me for so many years and yet I never even realized it. Don’t let years and years of your life go by before you decide to cry out to God. Call upon The Lord today and let God point out all of the things that you are doing wrong. Nobody is perfect but you can’t get any better if you aren’t willing to change. Give God the steering wheel in your life, jump in the back seat of the car, and stop trying to give directions to God while He is driving. When God is leading your life you will reach your destination right on time!

Would you still love me if…
You knew who I really was?
You found out who I am?
I wasn’t perfect?
I make mistakes?
I am broken and nobody else wants me?
My scars were visible for all to see?
I cried myself to sleep at night?
My nightmares woke me every night?
I didn’t love you anymore?
I walked right out the front door?
I never let you go?
You see, Jesus loved you long before you were you. Jesus loved you while you were in your mother’s womb. Jesus loves you now and forevermore. No matter how hard to try to run, Jesus never falls behind. Jesus wants to comfort you until you fall fast asleep. Jesus was and is the only answer that you need to solve all of your mysteries. Jesus changes your questions into answers and removes all doubt.
Will you try just one more time to let Jesus love you like He loves me?
